The Celebration of International Day of Cooperatives was successfully held in Korea
Embassy of the Argentine Republic in Republic of Korea held the event in July 12th to celebrate International Day of Cooperatives.
As per Mr. Ariel Guarco’s suggestion, the chairperson of International Cooperative Alliance, ICA), the event was hosted by Mr. Alfredo Bascou, the ambassador of the Argentine Republic in Republic of Korea.
The members of Korea Cooperative Solidarity, KCS (consist of Korea Federation of University Cooperatives, DURE CONSUMER'S COOPERATIVE, HANSALIM, National Cooperatives Association) participated this event.
Furthermore, many other cooperatives, such as Korea Social Enterprise Promotion Agency, ICOOP, National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, National Credit Union Federation of Korea, National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives, Korean Federation of Community Credit Cooperatives, and National Forestry Cooperative Federation also attended it.
Mr. Ariel Guarco has been engaged in ICA as a president since 2017, based on his previous 20 year-experience in both South and North Americas.
After addressing the congratulatory message from the president and the ambassador, the attendees actively shared ideas to spread values of cooperatives.
